Matte black cars, Spray paint, vinyl or PlastiDip ?

matte black Lincoln Continental with chrome rims, is it vinyl, paint or plastidip ?

Flat black and satin black cars are popular among certain car enthusiasts.  Usually it’s painted black (tough to keep clean) or  wrapped in vinyl (which is not necessarily cheap).  But recently a friend showed me a Corvette Forum post showing that flat black trim and graphics can be created with a layer of PlastiDip.  What is interesting is that it is non-permanent and can supposedly be removed without damaging the paint.
